Gary - proprietor

Gary is very proud of his team at E.W.Revett and Son. Having worked alongside Phillip Revett for many years Gary is now the proprietor and with nearly 40 years experience he and his wife Helen drive the business forward keeping a firm grip on the essential traditions with a focus on quality and service

John - Shop Manager

John is another very familiar face to the generations of customers visiting the shop. Having worked there for around a quarter of a century John is there to help you find the perfect cut of meat for whatever you are planning to cook. 


With over 20 years in the food industry Micheal has the perfect blend of experience and knowledge to help all customers. He has been with E.W. Revett butchers for over 10 years and is a great asset to the team Living locally with his own allotment and poultry he understands and respects the value of providence, quality and flavour.

Doug from Revett and Son

After a lifetime working as a butcher Doug selected Revett & Son as his retirement home! Working part time, Doug enjoys working with the team, offering assistance with his vast experience.

A great butchers is determined by the quality of produce combined with the experience behind the scenes.


Lewis is relatively new to what is an established and knowledgeable team. But with experience in other service industries and 2 years at Revett and Son he is no rookie. Lewis takes enormous pride in the preparation of many of the delicious pre-prepared meats which have proved so popular with our customers


Alan served in the RAF for 12 years and then joined the Constabulary working in the control room for Suffolk and Essex.

Alan has worked as a butcher for some well known businesses including Jacobs in Alderton, Harris,s and more recently Creaseys in Woodbridge


George is a reliable member of the team working in the background to ensure we have everything ready on the counter for you. He joined us in 2017 working at the weekends and has gained many skills, particularly with making our famous sausages.

From Wickham Market, George has been studying  horticulture at college
